Lavender

Lavender oil has been used to help soothe and relax for thousands of years. Uses include: helping anxiety, soothing burns and skin wounds, aiding sleep and reducing stress.

  • Diffuse at night to calm

  • Add to dryer balls

  • Add 2-3 drops to a warm bath

  • Apply to skin to soothe irritations

Cedarwood

This wood oil has a variety of uses - anti-fungal, antiseptic (urinary and pulmonary) and sedative and has also been known to help coughs, congestions, cystitis, anxiety and dandruff. Need to use with caution during pregnancy

  • Aids memory, reduces emotional tension and encourages a sense of belonging

  • Blends well with Bergamot, clary sage, cypress, eucalyptus, juniper

  • Diffusing cedarwood will help bring relaxation and also repel bugs

  • A few drops on a cottonball in your closet will keep moths at bay

Vetiver

This is a heavy, smoky earthy fragrance that is not for everyone but is incredible to add to blends to help with sleep, neurodivergence and balance

Probably one of my favourite dōTERRA blends - Spruce, Ho Wood, Blue Tansy, Frankincense, German (Blue) Chamomile, Osmanthus chosen to help establish a feeling of calmness, peace and relaxation

  • Add 3 drops to 1tbsp fractionated coconut oil and use as a soothing massage oil

  • Put 3 drops on the bottoms of the feet to bring harmony and grounding

  • Put 2-4 drops in an aromatherapy diffuser

Copaiba

I wouldn’t be without this oil. It’s fantastic for reducing my anxiety and calming my son’s nervous system

  • One drop under the tongue for managing anxiety - you can also add to water or tea

  • Diffuse with Vetiver, Balance and Lavender before bed

  • Apply 1-2 drops topically to calm muscles and nerves

Frankincense

  • Diffuse with Bergamot and Lavender to create a peaceful environment

  • Apply to pulse points to help balance mood

Peppermint

This is so useful for a variety of reasons and I use it all the time - from nervous brides to car sick toddlers Peppermint usually has you covered

  • Drop 3-4 drops on the shower flower to help invigorate

  • Inhale while driving to stay alert

  • Blend 2 drops each of lavender, lemon and peppermint to help with allergies

Lemon

Energising and uplifting this oil helps balance emotions, provide energy and is also wonderful for help when cleaning

  • Place 1-2 drops on the palms of the hands and inhale for a burst of energy

  • 3-5 drops of lemon in a diffuser can help with stress

  • Rub it on glass jars etc to remove sticky label residue
